Over the past 10 to 15 years, we have seen tremendous growth in the world of technology. Along with advancements specific to things like security systems and cell phones, one of the most impressive changes has been with PC laptop computers. Computers are found in millions of homes around the world, used to conduct online research, writing reports, working, and even playing games. While the standard size laptop is very popular, the newer notebook is also a great buy. The notebook is smaller and generally less expensive, making it more portable and lighter weight. However, many people still prefer the full-size laptop.
When looking at PC laptop computers, it is exciting to see where technology has gone. Again, computers today are lighter but they are also loaded with more power and features. Some of the most popular features that people look for include a built-in keyboard and mouse, web cam, long-lasting batteries, CD/DVD burning drives, wireless technology, and more.
Some people in the home and at work still use desktop computers but having the ability to travel with a laptop certainly makes it the more preferred type of computer system. PC laptop computers make it possible for people to go on vacation, travel for business, or head off to college with a fully functioning computer. Because most computers are now designed with wireless technology, the computer would operate while sitting in a hotel room, out by the pool, or in the cafeteria on campus. You could run programs with the computer plugged in or unplug it and run

Two years later, Alan Kay, an employee of Xerox invented the Dynabook, which was a huge improvement. Now looking at PC laptop computers on the market, we see a complete evolution. As mentioned, today’s laptops are small, extremely lightweight, affordable, powerful, and loaded with timesaving features. Even batteries that we see in PC laptop computers now being sold are different, designed to offer better and more power while also lasting much longer than earlier versions. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, the price for a laptop was easily $6,000 and up, meaning few people could afford one. PC laptop computers can be purchased today for $700 or less, giving everyone the same opportunity to buy.
Although the lower price tag is one attraction, PC laptop computers offer tremendous benefit for business or fun. Of all technological advancements, laptops are certainly the best investment you can make. One final note, if you plan to travel or move to a country outside the US, make sure the computer you purchase has interchangeable peripherals. This would include the processor, hard drive, and other add-ons. With the purchase of a new computer, you will have freedom to work, study, or play with ease.
